TEENAGE DRINKING & DRIVING
2,449 youths under 21 were killed in alcohol-related traffic fatalities in 2005. That’s an average of 7 deaths every day.

This episode was about underage drinking, and how messed up everything can get as a result of it.  It focused on a group of over priveledged highschool students who thought that they were invincible, and above the law.  When a girl show up dead at one of their parties, things start to catch up with them, and they learn several bitter lessons….

This episode also brought a chance for Elliot’s daughter to reappear.  The show revisits a previous plot line from when he got her out of trouble for drunk driving last season.

Desperate Housewives – April 1st (4.1) – Desperate Galore

3 04 2007

This weekend’s episode of Desperate Housewives was a conglomeration of what they called ‘Juicy Bites’  from the show.  There were basically a bunch of 15 second clips strung together in categories.  My personal favorite category (outside of the future, which we will get to) was the one that featured all of the falls.  It was just a bunch of slaps, punches, fights and falls all strung together, ending with my favorite line of the whole show:  Ding Dong (spoken by Lynette after kicking in the door to  Nora’s apartment).

The best, and most anticipated part of the show, however, was Futures.  This was about a 5 minute look at what is to come.  There is going to be a new chef at the Scavo Pizzaria, a chef that is cooking up more than new recipes, but a lust for Lynette.  Ida Greenberg is going to the hospital, a common destination for Wisteria Laneans this season.  She left Karen McCluskey instructions to go into her house, saying she ‘has done something bad.’  When she enters, she asks what the smell is, and then screams…  The final cliff-hanger is when we see Tom lying on the floor of the pizza parlour, with Lynette standing over him, forbidding him to die.  This undoubtedly ushers in the sweep for the ratings season, and I think we can expect a lot from all shows until then.
